We take a lot of time acquiring quides with just the right mix of social skills; fishing, hunting, outdoor work experience, as well as a college background. We find that the number one requirement for an outstanding guide is his true desire to see the fishermen have a good time and fully enjoy themselves. In other words, we hire guides who have a willingness-to-please attitude. "Our guides are smart, well rounded individuals with good social skills and a strong work ethic," says Jody Allen. We also work closely with a university intern program where guides can receive a formal evaluation and university credit.
