Jason, Leslie & Peyton Semler

Jason, raised in Alaska, is a pilot, fisherman, hunting guide, USCG licensed captain and excellent mechanic. Leslie is schooled in AP mechanics and has high standards for the quality of experience of the guests, including the comfort and cleanliness of the lodge and lodge grounds, gourmet food and qualified chefs, safety measures and staffing. Their son Peyton is now 11 years old and is very comfortable with the guests. He engages them in games and helps with the ATV's, luggage, and many chores. Peyton is home-schooled during the season and goes to school in the off season. Peyton dreams of one day being a bush pilot like Jason.

Jason and Leslie work together to manage the lodge and reservations. Jason works hard alongside our highly trained guides to insure an unforgettable Alaskan experience here at Alaska Expedition Lodge. With a deep fly fishing back round from guiding rainbow on the Kenai River to fishing the parks highway and Alaska Peninsula, Jason brings extensive knowledge to our fishing program. Leslie is a true one of a kind gal from Hunt, TX. When not at the lodge, Leslie can be found in the office where she helps with reservations and preparation for the following seasons to come. With years of experience performing maintenance on a variety of aircraft, Leslie proves to be a asset in many ways to the lodge life. As well as being a full time mother, Leslie helps manage our kitchen and guest services staff where she oversees everything from our day to day menu and ordering and preperation for future weeks. Both Jason and Leslie have many years experience operating and managing a remote lodge in Alaska.
